Yvaneska is a magic creature, possessing the power to take fears away.
While working on her character I wanted to surround her with objects showing her distinct personality.
She lives in a fairy land. The habitants are small creatures. I wanted her to wear something luxury, like fur coat, so I decided since she is small like the creatures she lives with she will wear a coat, made out of "caterpillar skin". I made a pattern in Photoshop, using the image of a caterpillar. The pattern was sent to the studio, where it was printed out on silk. Working on her costume I unwinded the material around the edges and fluffed it up, making a fur-like material, and added swarowsky to shine.

The throne is made out of "insect bones".
On the first illustration, where creatures come to her, she sits on a throne and there is a stuffed head above her. If you have ever seen it in microscope you would recognize that this is a mosquito head. The throne is also made out of "insect bones".
Yvaneska is an art ball jointed doll. The sculpt is a limited edition of 20 dolls.
The doll is made out of resin, 33cm tall. She has 24 points of articulations and can take almost all human poses. She goes with the box and Certificate Of Authenticity.
Yvaneska’s Story
No one exactly remember or know where Yvaneska came from. Not from our world for sure everyone says. But her power was so great that all miserable creatures knew about her, they took a long way from their homes to come to her cave to be relieved. To be relieved from their greatest fears.
What did she do with it they didn't wonder. They came back home and lived happily. Until... Until they got more and more fears and they came back...
What did she do with all their fears, do you want to know? I will tell you.. She went to her magic room, there she had a mirror. Well it was a mirror for everyone else, but for her it was a portal into the world she belonged to. The world of dreams.
There our logistics didn't work, we will never understand how, but there she could transform all these fears into her own power. The power that could let her travel between realities, the power to take away fears.. So it was a circle, with which she was quite happy. Until..
Until they got more and more fears. The problem with this creatures was that after they had been relieved they filled the empty spaces with the same thing. There were too many for her. And she was only one of this kind. And one day she disappeared. She didn't explained herself, you know.. But the legend said that she left her magic mirror in her cave. Probably she went though it into her dream world and never came back, who knows... But the mirror wasn't usual. The mirror was magical. If you look in the mirror, if you look into your own eyes you will look into the eyes of your greatest fear. It will be so scary that you fell unconscious and fall asleep for seven days. After you wake up you will find out that your fear was replaced with a joy. Simple joy of living. How it happens nobody knows, no one remember their dreams from that sleep..
